| Why
are your rates so low? |
Have you ever
heard the saying that you "probally get what you pay for?".
We disagree. Our desire is to keep our rates affordable. Our mission
is to provide quality, low cost, web design for ministries, businesses,
and organizations. We don't believe that you need to pay hundreds,
or even thousands, of dollars for a professional looking website.
We are also very
aware that there are many free site builder offers out there. The
catch is that these sites produce 'cookie cutter' websites with very
little personalization in design. We know that your organization deserves
better and we are willing to keep our rates low to remain competitive
and affordable. It is our belief that your site should reflect your
goals in design and presentation.
The bottom line
- Whether you are a not-for-profit organization, a business, or just
an individual, we want to keep our rates affordable. Period.
|
| Can
we meet in person? |
Yes. Wherever
it is convenient for you. If you are local to the Upstate/Southern
Tier of New York (Binghamton, Elmira, Syracuse), or the Northern Tier
of Pennsylvania (Scranton, Mansfield, Montrose), we can come to you.
We will set up a free consultation session where we will help you
decide if a web site designed by New Heights Web Services will benefit
you.
If you're outside
of these areas, we can develop a site without ever meeting in person,
through phone, fax, the Internet, and e-mail. We'll post designs and
sketches on the Internet for you to review and approve.
|
| How
long will it take to build my site? |
A typical web
site takes anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months to complete
depending on your timeline, the size of the site, and the rate of
information exchange between the designer and you.
The timeline
is dependent on any number of other factors, including complexity
of design, if you already have an idea chosen, or if you would like
us to mock up designs for you.
One of the most
important pieces is constant communication. The faster you give us
your feedback, the faster your site will be completed.
|
| Do
I have to choose a package? |
No. Our packages
are suggestions. The price for each package is contingent on whether
or not you use all that is included in that package.
For example:
The rate for our Starter Site is $50. If you choose this package and
do not include any pictures on your site, the price would be lowered
(since the package price includes photo scanning). To get a free quote,
complete our quote request form.
|
| Do
you build sites for businesses too? |
Yes. We can
even help you sell your product online by integrating a shopping cart.
Our shopping cart of choice is offered via PayPal.
We do offer other options! Just ask!
|
| Can
a site be bigger than 10 pages? |
Yes. Additional
pages may be added. For additional page rates, click
here.
|
| How
many additional pages can I add to a package? |
You may add
pages so long as you do not go over the next package level. For example:
The Starter Site Package includes 3 pages. You may add 2 pages to
this package for a total of 5 pages. A third additional page would
give you a total of 6 pages which is the Advantage level. This means
you would be charged the Advantage Package rate instead of the Starter
Site price. The same goes for the Advantage Package. You may add up
to three pages to this package for a total of 9 pages. You may add
as many pages as you would like to the Advantage-Plus Package. For
additional page rates, click here.

We offer Domain

you register a unique domain name.
If your site
is hosted elsewhere, your Web Address is determined by your host.
Consult with your Web Host for your exact Website Address.
|
| How
do I make changes to my website in the future? |
This can be done
in two ways. You may make the changes yourself, or you may have us
do it for you. Once any site is complete, we "transfer ownership" of it to you by turning over the login id's and password's. This gives
you complete control of the site to make any changes or upgrades on
your own. If you do not have the time or resources to maintain the
site yourself, we can do it for you.
If you want us
to make a change for you - we request that you give us a weeks notice
before you want it completed. We understand that special circumstances
can call for immediate changes to a site. We will accomodate these
requests for a small fee (up to, but never more than, $5.00 depending
upon change needed).
|
| Why
don't you have a phone number listed? |
We do not have
a phone number listed for this reason only: This is a home run business.
For the sake of privacy for my wife, I have chosen not to list our
phone number. We have young children, and, for her to have to worry
about answering the phone for business is a stress I prefer not
to burden her with. I am more than happy to give my phone number
upon agreeing to do business. Until this point, I prefer initial
contact by email or fax.
